Things I won’t miss…

This morning at the bank it was our good fortune to park next to a big, lift-kitted pickup truck with a bumper sticker of the Calvin & Hobbes dude pissing on the number 24 to one side of the rear window… and on the other side, another bumper sticker saying ‘Racing- the only sport that requires 2 balls’.
Walked into the bank and sure enough… a guy in a nascar hat & ‘tig ol bitties’ t-shirt was two people in front of us. It completed the picture.
At first I was just incensed that there was someone out there who hated the tv show 24 so much that they’d have to slap a bumper sticker on their redneck ride bashing it… but then Jim explained to me that ‘24′ is Jeff Gordon’s number & who the hell Jeff Gordon was. God damn rednecks.

i am taking much pride in the fact i understood very little of the content of that post. i too thought it was leading up to someone not liking the show… and i don’t even want to know what the hell “tig ol bitties” means… ignorance is bliss.
I got the Jeff Gordon part, actually laughed when I saw the reference to the show and not the driver. I’m with J on this one, no clue what “tig ol bitties” means.
btw…I feel “funny” using Michelle instead of hppy…just wanted to share…hahaha
‘tig ol bitties’ I’m assuming means ‘big ol titties’ in redneck speak. I asked Jim… who is the resident boob expert in our house… and he said that, yes, it was a reference to ‘big ol titties’.
And Michelle… you’ll always be hppy to me! xo
No idea who Jeff Gordon is…..but I guess he drives a car?
Haddock - That’s the rumor… I’ve never watched a nascar race in my life, but apparently he’s, er, good at it I guess.
Really though, how interesting can driving around in circles as quickly as you can actually be?? I don’t get it.

Before I started dating Shawn I had the same thoughts about racing. When he first told me he was into racing I said, sarcastically, “Oh, fun, watching a car go round and round and round” … he didn’t find that funny. Over time I started watching with him, and will have to admit got sucked in. Once you get into it and start learning the players and understanding all the components of racing it is very easy to get sucked in, just like any other sport.
So does this mean you want to piss on Jeff Gordon too?
I don’t think I’d go that far…hahaha. He isn’t my favorite, but I don’t think I’d piss on him either.
