Life philosophy @ 1:00 a.m.
Mar 29th, 2006 by B.
One of the sites I’ve lately visited posed this question:
***can you sum up your life-philosophy in 5 statements ?***
I’m tired, sore and distracted, but this is what I came up with relatively quickly:
- one man’s deviant is another’s vanilla.
- try anything twice, except incest and folk dancing.
- what goes around, comes around.
- give a man false praise in bed, feed his ego for a day. teach a man what you like in bed, shit, who needs a vibrator.
- always choose the road less traveled.
- guilt is the mafia of the mind.
Yes, I realize I have six, not five. I couldn’t decide which I’d cut. Besides, I’ve never been good at following directions.
So, what would your statements be?

Life’s a bitch and then you die.
Repeat 4 times.
I like this one: what goes around, comes around….That works for me
I’ve always wondered about this one: always choose the road less traveled
These three: one man’s deviant is another’s vanilla; try anything twice, except incest and folk dancing; give a man false praise in bed, feed his ego for a day. teach a man what you like in bed, shit, who needs a vibrator…..Are just a little scary to ponder, to me anyway, but maybe I should be a little more fearless, who knows????
there is pretty much no problem following the golden rule can’t fix…
no matter what they might tell you, you can’t weigh the sun… in short, question everything…
it’s easier to put on slippers than to carpet the whole world…
the potato is the god among food…
a list of five is always either too little or not enough…. (that’s not a philosophy so much as an observation)
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
I suppose that is a variation of what comes around goes around -and- hopefully the one man’s deviant thingy
If you stay home you don’t have to choose a road. j/k
Corrolary to that … no map needed, either.
Don’t let them know you can cook.
Fear leads to paralysis of the soul
Be true to yourself / Seek inner peace
Carpe Diem - Die Fishing or some such translation
I forgot all about the stuart smally quote… lol. Lisa, fearless is the way to be!!
p.s. Djack, I love you!
B, you are an inspiration to me…….Just wanted you to know that
“one man’s deviant is another’s vanilla.”
I really like this idea… It’s something I’ve thought in the past, but never been able to express.
