Der blumen are killing me.
Christ… for the past week I’ve been sneezing my brains out. Is there anyone who can tell me when this allergy-induced hell will be over? Because there’s not enough Benadryl in the world to make living in germany in springtime doable for me right now.
Also, any decent remedies you care to share? As long as they don’t involve warm beer or the mushrooms Haddock is currently growing in his backyard… I’m game.

It’s the birch trees. They’re apparently really, really bad this year. I’ve been sneezing a lot myself. I think that’s supposed to be over soon, but the grasses are next. And the ragweed is always fun in the summer. Lorano is a good antihistamine. There’s a link to it on my blog today.
Ever tried nasal irrigation? It’s good for an itchy, runny nose. There’s a lot of information on the net . You can make your own saline solution and those little pots (called Nasendusche - nose shower - heh) are available at any pharmacy. The whole process is known as a Nasenspülung.
Yeah, a saline rinse will help, as well as frequent washing of your face (just water) and bathing before bed helps too. Did you happen to bring along your Ionic Breezes (if you had them) for the bedroom ?
And when you ask for the Nasendusche or Nasenspülung, be very certain to emphasize the “N” when pronouncing them
