Adam- Personally, I'm not sure I like the teacher... she's really bossy. And she uses "we" all the time. As in "we don't wear our sports shoes in the building" or "we would prefer that you not sing 'another brick in the wall' around the children". And kindergarten's a full day here, 8:45 - 3:15.

Remus- Get this... they don't have nap time. Poor Syd's been robbed. That was the best part of kindergarten in my book. The kids are also only allowed to bring healthy food & have healthy snacks. And by healthy, I mean REALLY healthy. Yesterday I seriously helped them cut up lemons & cucumbers for snack. Who eats that shit?? Poor kids. And when I suggested apple sauce for snack one day you'd have thought I'd just volunteered to bring in soft porn or something. I got a 15 minute lecture on exactly what constituted a 'healthy' snack.

Hexe- Hell no. I started crying before we even left the flat.

Lisa- Thanks Lisa!

Awesome! Were both of you able to follow all the rules, stand in line, and listen to the teacher's instructions?

On a more serious note, is kindergarten a full day thing or a half day thing here in Germany? When I grew up in Denver it was a half day thing.
