Extreme Makeover.

When I first rolled out EuroTrippen I wasn’t sure how long I’d stick around, so I never bothered with fancy skins or even a custom header. I just grabbed some premade stuff and called it good. But now that we’ve passed the one year mark and I still manage to post on a regular basis, I’m thinking ET is deserving of a makeover.
I’m to the point now where I’m debating what I want the site to look like… what I think would be a good reflection of me (Jim and his 3 posts haven’t earned much of a say!). So, when you think EuroTrippen (and be nice…) what images come to mind? All suggestions for designs & web designers will be taken into consideration and hopefully within a month or so we can roll out something unique and cool.

Hmm, not sure what you mean, B. You’ve got about 8 skins for this fancy-schmancy site here. I’m always with the coffee theme so it’s hard to imagine it as anything else.
*brainstorms* an image of one of those cool yellow American school buses as though you’re the Partridge Family eurotrippen, primary colours on a black background, collage of photos from favourite places you’ve visited, your avatar is you with the ‘german coloured’ hair from a while back…
Um, I’d best have a think about this.
Yeah, but all those skins are all just standard stuff… and I like the coffee theme (even though I hate coffee) too. Lots of times I forget we even have other skins here.
And your idea sounded good right up to the german colored hair part… I still cringe when I think about that. lol
Oddly, whenever I look at your site directly (as opposed to through a reader), I use the coffee theme–I find it quite nice.
However, when I hear the phrase “Eurotrippen” I tend to think of that movie “EuroTrip” which was a bit off color–I’m not sure that reflects you at all, but that roadtrip to Bratislava is what comes to mind.
I’ve just started a new design for dackelprincess. I think my biggest thing is getting my fonts to stand out more and be easy to read. I like your colors. though. Go for whatever makes you feel like you are trippin’ in Europe.
Might I suggest a jeff probst theme?
the coffee theme itself is nice… (and it’s what i use to view you as well) but we both know what is wrong with it… it’s coffee. and coffee is gross. and smelly.
knowing you pretty well… it should be something smart, cool, sexy with a bit of orange…
and also knowing you pretty well i can tell you that you don’t give yourself enough credit when it comes to your tastes in these matters… your instincts are better than you think…
if there’s anything i can help you with… even if it’s just a second opinion on choosing this or that… you know where i am… i’d be more than happy to do whatever i can.
i’m very excited now… can’t wait to see what you come up with…
Your new template should have something to do with pixies and unicorns and leprechauns.
Thanks! I’ve got some ideas already… none of which include Jeff Probst, pixies or unicorns. If I can fit a leprechaun in, hey, what the hell. And Jeanni- there will definitely be orange!
