A sign I’m getting old?
Feb 7th, 2007 by B.
I pulled something in my neck/shoulder at the concert the other night and have been walking around like Quasimodo ever since. Add to this the fact that as soon as the concert was over we looked at each other and said “I’m ready to go home… and, man, was that ever loud” and it’s pretty compelling evidence that I’m getting older. And lamer.
All I need now is for my sciatica (what is sciatica anyway?) to act up or to develop a bad case of gout and I’m officially the dullest person I know…
On this day..
- Ho-hum... - 2007

I know what you mean and I feel your pain.
The doctor pointed out the fact that I have arthritis in my knees as well as the injury, and I’m like, “What is this? Arthritis?” I’m waaay too young for that! Well, apparently not.
I haven’t been to a concert in years and have a bad back and raging sciatica. I haven’t even been out to a movie theater in months. So be assured that there are far lamer folks out there than you!
You know what they say, B - “If it’s too loud, you’re too old”. Ha ha. The sciatic nerve runs from your back down to your feet and when it gets pinched it hurts like hell. I had sciatica when I was pregnant and it was MOST unpleasant. Please choose another dull ailment.
Ha! I totally deserve that… and in the future I’ll try to pick a different ailment when describing how lame I am.
B, you are anything but lame, so stop that!
From knee, elbow & back pain, I’ve had/have them all, I know of what you speak of…..Physically at least, it sucks getting older….Otherwise, we’re not so bad
Anyone who rocks the “double bra” can hardly be considered a geezer…30 is the new 20…40 the new 30…
How the hell was Ben Folds too loud ?
Anon- We were off to the right directly in front of the speakers. Bad positioning on our part (especially since Ben was to the left) but it was loud!
