A big ‘fuck you’ to Valentine’s day.

I hate this day, I really do. I think that for a lot of people it only serves to underscore whatever it is they feel is missing from their lives. Be it an actual partner, the right partner, the love of a family member or friend, or just the void left from everything & everyone that’s fallen by the wayside through the years…
I’ll never understand why we make choose to participate in some arcane tradition that’s designed to leave roughly half of society feeling ostracized or unaccepted. Off subject, but this is also exactly the way I feel about organized religion. Both bite and both, in one way or another, are bound to leave some feeling excluded & shitty. So why bother?

HALLELUJAH! I really find VD just depressing, because while I normally feel hopeful that someday, I will find someone to love me & all my many faults….I keep getting the feeling that I’m just going to be that one thing I always fear that I’ll become……Which is unbearable to me……Thank God it’s over in a day tho :-/
