Most of the time I don’t bother shaving, mainly because I wear pants everyday. But, living in Tokyo where women take femininity to statospheric levels, I do sometimes feel a little less than girlie. Which reminds me, I’ve read that it’s very important for Japanese women to maintain their girlishness–which means acting extremely childish at times by screaming, crying, and making absurd demands. Men expect it, and seem to accept it as part of having a “young” wife or girlfriend. Maybe this is true in America, too, but I’ve never noticed it so much as in Japan.

I gave up shaving my legs regularly about two years ago. None of the German women I hung around with did it and Rainer didn’t care, so I thought, what am I doing it for? I still shave every once in a while when I want to feel a little more feminine, but mostly I don’t care anymore.

Considering his way of asking for help consists of walking in nude, throwing a razor in my general direction while bending over, grabbing his ankles, and yelling “go deep!”… is it any wonder my mood might get questionable?

Of course, but I try to keep her involvement to a minimum. Especially if she’s in a questionable mood. Clippers have been known to remove skin too… Personally, I have a Remington cordless with ceramic blades. So many attachments too, but I only use no guard or the shortest attachment. the rest sit unused in the case.

I bought a Wahl hair trimmer last month … lots of attachments, adjustable shoe so that you can go from 3/16ths stubble to skin-close without a guard. Nice heft, relatively quiet and efficient.

So does B. still have to help with some of those hard-to-reach places ?

Truth is, I leave the stubble, but anything longer than that… Well, it’s just too much. And it doesn’t stop at the legs. If that were the case I’d have more time for the seemingly manly things in my sunday. Don’t hate me because I’m beautiful.. LOL
