This weekend we kicked off a search for new laptops, which led me to a few realizations. First, when I make the jump I’m going to have to get used to a whole new keyboard. With umlauts. And keys in crazy different places. I’m particularly sad about this because (on an […]

Ok, site’s been updated to the most recent version of wordpress, there are some nifty new features in the sidebar and everything appears to be in good working order. Yay! Technical stuff aside, the most noticeable differences are the new themes, courtesy of Jeanni. I mentioned in an earlier post how much […]

Starting tonight EuroTrippen will undergo much needed site maintenance and renovation. Since these things never go as smoothly as one hopes, I’m shooting for a completion date of late-afternoon on Sunday. In addition to my ‘novel-length work of fiction’ I’ve currently got 17 short stories in progress. Combine this with the two children’s books I’m working on for/with Sydney and a draft outlining about 30 other writing ideas, and it’s safe to say I won’t be running out of material anytime soon. My biggest […]

This is an isolated, yet to me important, thought surrounding the VA shootings. I realize when something like this happens people feel the need to look for flashing neon signs pointing to why. It’s human nature. Still, I find it disturbing that the shooter’s creative writing teacher would in the first place […]

I’ve decided that watching Lost (much like embracing religion, psychotropic drugs, or the first blush of love) is a complete act of faith. You’re more or less forced to suspend common sense and just go with it in hopes it’ll yield more than you’re sacrificing. And while I’ve seen a lot of people […]
