Yay for May!

Today is Germany’s labor day and kicks off a month filled with holidays. Seriously, I think there’s only one full work/school week in the entire month. We’ve got a four-day weekend coming up, followed by a three-day weekend the very next week. I wish every month was this way.
We were supposed to go to Vienna over our four-day weekend, but Jim’s threatening mutiny if I force him to travel again so soon. Still, it seems like such a waste to have all this time off and do nothing with it…

Isn’t life wonderful in Europe with the ammount of holidays we have. A friend of mine reckons he sees his family more back in the USA with the ammount of holiday that he has here ,then when he lived and worked in the USA
Really Because the grade 13’s were writing exams, my kids also had today (Wed.) off as well as Monday and Tuesday. And then they get 2 more 4 day weekends for Pfingsten (Whitsun) and Himmelfahrt (Ascension Day). I love May. It means I only have to get up at the crack of dawn half as often as usual.
We have one in June too (Corpus Christi), but not all states do.
