   I know I shouldn’t laugh. I know I shouldn’t laugh. OK, I can’t help it! At least your car did not get towed (my husband managed that once twice at 190 Euro a pop!)! A friend told me after his car accident that he just gets points and could lose his license, but that it does not change anything with his insurance. I don’t know the accuracy of that statement, but that is what he told me. I hope it is true for you too!

   hi, never mind, your insurance will not get up. i would pay very soon the 25 euro and that’s it.
   but pay attention next time, because of a 30 km/h-zone, if you drive 60 km/h you have to pay 60 euro and will get 3 points in Flensburg :-))

   if you were caught again you could calculate your ticket. http://www.bussgeldkataloge.de/ click at “Bußgeldrechner” at the left site. type in how many km / h you were to fast and than you see the result

   The insurance won’t even know that. Your Schadenfreiheitsklasse (~ “claim absence rebate”?) will only change for the worse if they have to pay something.
   You also won’t get any points, as this is stated as a Ordnungswidrigkeit with a Verwarnungsgeld (~ “admonishment fine”, 34 Euro or less). Pay it, be annoyed about that photo and forget it
   Coming along with a fine of 35 Euro or more, the Verwarnungsgeld becomes a Bußgeld and you will propably collect some points in Flensburg. That happens to be at for example speeding with ~20 km/h above limit. (Only rough, because it’s defined in percent.) But even then the insurance shouldn’t care if they don’t have to pay.
   I hope this is not too abstruse, my vocabulary knowledge ends in the profundities of German traffic laws

   I’m so glad I have this blog. You guys just saved me countless hours of worry. I’ll happily pay the fine and try to remember to watch my speed.
