God I love Youtube. I forget about it from time to time, but I just spent all morning catching up on Bill Maher’s Real Time/HBO episodes. This is political talk done the way it should be… honestly, uncensored and with lots of four-letter words. It doesn’t hurt that I more or less see eye-to-eye with everything Bill has to say, but I think I’d still get something from it even if I thought he was full of shit. It’s sooo much better that The Daily Show with John Stewart- although I concede that delivering a daily network product must be much tougher. Bill’s got a week between episodes, a team of writers, and the clout of HBO behind him.
Plus he’s got that whole ‘I’m always right, I’ve got enough confidence to choke a humpback whale - engage me at your peril’ thing going, which doesn’t hurt at all…

I haven’t seen Bill Maher’s HBO show, only because we Canadians are denied HBO, but I remember watching his old show on ABC, he’s definitely interesting to watch, I can’t say I’m as much of a fan of his as I used to be, but I get what I can out of his opinions, sometimes I agree, sometimes not, but he’s always entertaining
this will tell you how great the show is… i am about as uninterested in listening to grown-ups talk about politics as humanly possible.
… and i never miss the show.
Ok Jeanni, tell the truth… I know your thing is more rock-star-bad-boy, but don’t you find Maher sexy in an honest, in your face kinda way??
actually i think of him as “older” and it’s very rare that i look at older guys in terms of sexy… (i didn’t say it’s right… but i can’t help it) so i never thought of him one way or another in that regard… but, put it this way… he’s sexier than al gore.
Ha! I knew Al would work his way into this conversation. Come to think of it, I guess I do have a thing for older men… which is funny because Jim’s six years younger. Oh well, never let it be said I don’t contradict myself. Often.
