It’s official.

Summer’s officially here. How do I know? Because Jim’s busting out the man capris… aka: manapris.

This means I’ll be refusing to acknowledge him in public for the next three months or so. Methinks he loves his manapris a little too much… if he starts talking about needing a nice pair of espadrilles (manadrilles?) to go with them, I’m staging an intervention.
Seriously, as long as I live here (and it really is a big thing here in europe) I’ll never get used to the manapris…
On this day..
- Don't tell. - 2007
- In theory... - 2006
- Happy 666 day! - 2006

Just tell me they’re not worn with socks and sandals/tevas. Please not the socks.
Absolutely not. I used to laugh at all the Oregonians who wore socks with sandals. Now in Germany, I still feel the same way. As for the manapris, “when in Rome…..” (this still doesn’t apply to sandals with socks)
I lived in Oregon for a few years and know exactly what you’re talking about!
But, manapris? Wrong on sooooo many levels. . . .why not just knee-length shorts? Women usually look good in capris cuz they have those cute bums and shapely legs, but men wearing baggy capris. . .er. . .I mean manapris? They look like high waters! Just say no, Jim.
I saw the manapris in Bloomington today… and not just the pair I was wearing.
We make fun of them in our house too. And we call the Man-Pris, but I think I like Manaprees (like manatees?) better. Jeff may listen to Robbie Williams, but he hasn’t crossed that Euro line yet.
Alex- Have you fallen victim to manapris too? Tell the truth…
Jim- Well you still wear socks…
Ab Tokyo- I know, right?? They really are wrong on many levels, but around here guys wear them in lieu of shorts. It’s totally weird.
Adam- Manapris are invading the heartland of America? No!!
Blythe - Good for Jeff. Jim’s got 6 pair of manapris, he’s beyond hope.
Gahhhh! Well, at least they’re not orange. My 11 yr old can get away with wearing them but Boy14 and Mr M refuse, thank goodness.
I can handle the manapris. Don’t scoff but I think they look great on guys. The thing I’m having a tad of trouble with is the man bag. I totally support a guy’s right to accessorize but it makes the gay/straight line a little cloudy.
Yep, Jim’s got a manbag too…. heh
Kevin has a man bag… but he only uses it for short bus trips to carry his PSP (yes…27and still has to take the PSP everywhere like a 12 year old, but that’s anpther story). He wears baggy long shorts though so no maniprees for him!
They’re not manapris - They’re pirate trousers!
That’s definitely one trend I will not be following. I think they look stupid on guys.
