I will watch almost anything that is in English. I started with months of CNN. Then I started buying movie favorites that I don't mind rewatching. Then came the fateful day I bought the first season of Lost. Now I have added Gray's Anatomy. I found the Itunes TV downloads and get my Jon Stewart fix (that was killing me - life without Jon Stewart). Who knows what's next.

You're not alone. I've actually watched Flavor of Love and plenty of Parental Control and My Super Sweet 16 on MTV just because they're in English. Desperate people can't be too picky. Starting this Sunday I've got my mom supposedly recording the new season of "The 4400" on USA Network for me. Thank God our German VCR plays NTSC tapes.

Don't tell anyone, but I watched the entire season of "Britney & Kevin: Chaotic" on German TV, simply because it was in English. And then I watched the reruns.

I'm still a TV snob; well maybe not a snob, maybe a connoisseur. I feel that my taste in TV shows is EXCELLENT and anyone who doesn't appreciate art - like the first season of Veronica Mars - should just go back to reading Danielle Steele novels. And then I return my attention to the latest American Idol rerun.

Truly, though, I would argue that there's more quality writing getting produced on TV right now than in film. Even considering all those sitcoms with the fat husband and the skinny wife and their three 'hilarious' kids.
