Here it’s just another day, but in America they’re firing up the grill, drinking cold beer, lighting sparklers & waiting until dark for spectacularly ostentatious displays of fireworks…
And in that same spirit of freedom and independence I’ll say to Alan Johnston… congratulations, be safe & hurry home.

Sometimes I wonder how many more 4ths we will observe as a somewhat free nation.
We have to save ourselves from those who wrap themselves in the flag.
I the meantime I might enjoy a couple of Lone Star longnecks and catch The Arc Angels show in H-town. (if it quits flooding … you know how Texas is).
Well it’s floodin’ down in Texas, all of the telephone lines are down…
