Poland-
beautiful, historic and serene
a marching band serenaded us
as we snacked on cheetos in the park
and talked of all the country endured
nazis, communism, catholicism
proud people with complex histories
the world could (and should) learn much from them
still, three long days without internet -
we were ready to come home again
to our beloved creature comforts
to dresden - our adopted city
with its own triumphant history
europe is such a revelation…
