Hysterical.

Oh a whim we started watching HBO’s ‘Flight Of The Conchords’ today. Absolutely hilarious. Here’s the synopsis:
Flight of the Conchords follows the trials and tribulations of a two man, digi-folk band from New Zealand as they try to make a name for themselves in their adopted home of New York City. The band is made up of Bret McKenzie on guitar and vocals, and Jemaine Clement on guitar and vocals.
Bret and Jemaine have moved to New York in the hope of forging a successful music career. So far they’ve managed to find a manager (whose “other” job is at the New Zealand Consulate), one fan (a married obsessive) and one friend (who owns the local pawn shop) — but not much else.
I highly recommend it. You can also check out some of their songs / skits on youtube.
Is it wrong to find Jemaine yowza sexy? Because if lovin’ him is wrong…
On this day..

- Paris. - 2006

Nothing wrong with that.. I would so totally ‘do’ Jermain and all Bret could do was watch.
They’ve been a favorite for a while……..Have you seen the clip for their tune “Business Time”? I love that one, it’s so funny! I do catch their show from time to time, but I keep missing it……They’re the next best import from New Zealand since Neil Finn!
Okay…question…how are you getting HBO and other real time US channels? Not that I think my kids need to watch anymore tv, but a little HBO…Showtime…that would be nice. ALl we have is AFN-20+ year old movies are better than nothing, but I would give my arm for a little “Big Love” or “Ugly Betty!” I’ve brought season 1 and 2 of Grey’s Anatomy with me, but…
Jim- Heh, it takes a confident man to admit to Jemaine love…
Lisa - Thanks for the tip, I’ll have to check out business time.
Esther- The first line of defense is Itunes. Then there’s youtube (good for some stuff, like reality tv), and what we can’t get that way Jim’s father and various other friends and family tivo and send to us. There’s usually a lag of 3, 4 or more days, but hey, it’s better than nothing!
It’s interesting: FOTC are almost completely unknown here in NZ. Their program hasn’t screened here. Last year, there was a documentary about them playing in Texas, but that’s about all.
HBO has put the first episode of FOTC on Youtube.
Jermaine is the star of the new movie “Eagle vs Shark”.
