Good call! Morphine is one of my Big Three (the other two being Bjork and Orbital....for some reason I didn't take you to be the Orbital type so I didn't include that one in my earlier post)! I never tire of these Three.

B- I am not familiar with ACSS--and, strangely, my music collection really stopped growing when I moved here; my collection is incredibly static. And boring now. I need to fix it.

Hey B, knowing you love Eddie Vedder as you do.....And I can't remember if you'd ever said you had it already or not....Do you have a live Neil Finn cd called "7 Worlds Collide"? Eddie plays all thru this cd, & it's awesome! Neil also played with Phil Selway and Ed O'Brien of Radiohead, Johnny Marr of the Smiths,

There's even a dvd of it, see if you can find it because to see them all play together, it blew my mind, they were that good together! As you may know, my love of Neil Finn rivals your love of Eddie Vedder & Ben Folds :-D

CN- Thanks for the tips! I hadn't thought of Morphine in a long time, I went out and grabbed Murder For The Money (how appropriate is that song for the Iraq war??), Early To Bed & Mary Won't You Call My Name. Jim's a big Björk fan, so we already have lots of that, and I loved Sam Beam's take on The Postal Service's 'Such Great Heights'.

James- Let's see... LOVE & own lots of: BNL's old stuff, Patti Smith & Warren Zevon. And Radiohead is one of my all-time favorite bands - I own pretty much every song Thom Yorke puts out there! You've got great taste...

Rositta- Annie's got some powerful pipes. Diva is a great album. Heh, when I think about ac/dc I can't help whipping out my best upper-crust British accent and reciting the lyrics to Big Balls.

Jeanni- Thanks, you probably know my musical taste more than anyone. Hey, do you like Elliott Smith? If so check out the song 'Between The Bars' off his Either/Or album. It reminds me a lot of you...

Alex- Ok, taking Lionel Richie (shudder) out of the equation, I really liked Gomez. Hadn't heard of them before, but I instantly bonded with Free To Run. Also grabbed See The World, Devil Will Ride and How We Operate.

Lionel Richie! Oh, that's never going to get old. But seriously, I have no idea of your tastes. But if you haven't check out Phoenix. Or my favorite band of all time, Gomez.

if i were going to suggest music for you... i'd be basing it off of knowing you love pearl jam... since that is sort of my genre of record (heh, so to speak)...

but instead of suggesting some stuff for you to use your certificate on... i'll send you a virtual mix tape of some stuff for you to try out... i'm not sure why i have never done that already.

and now i have another project to work on just in time for the end of my work week... yay.

Hi, anything Annie Lennox with or without the Eurythmics. Also AC/DC would be my picks. I don't buy music from I Tunes but I'm in the process of loading up my Ipod with stuff I already own I preparation for my big trip.

A couple of albums that never get worse, no matter how many times you hear them:
Barenaked Ladies - Maroon
Patti Smith - Gung Ho
Warren Zevon - Genius
Catatonia - Equally Cursed and Blessed
Crowded House - Afterglow
And then of course "the Bends" and "Hail to the Thief"...

Oh, how I envy you your iTunes certificate! :)
I don't really know what you like at all so I will just throw out some things I've been listening to lately and if you don't like any of them, no harm done!! Rufus Wainwright, Architecture in Helsinki, Bjork, Morphine/Mark Sandman, TV on the Radio, Iron & Wine.
Hope you find some good stuff!

Adam- I already know I like Shooglenifty. We own Radical Mestizo and I've downloaded a couple others from different CDs. Do you like Afro Celt Sound System too? They have a similar sound, only ACSS might be a little closer to mainstream because Sinead O'Connor and Peter Gabriel have been featured in their work.
