Happy Birthday, Stinkerbell!

Today Sydney is 7 years old. Time flies. By the way, she’s speaking 4 languages now… English (duh), German, French and Japanese. Not too shabby. She’s also funny, incredibly smart, overly sarcastic, and loves telling us what to do. Heh.
Here she is buried alive in an avalanche of pink-princess-wrapped gifts. What a way to go! Notice all the missing teeth… the tooth fairy’s been hanging out at our flat quite a bit lately.
Finally… a picture of the damn cake. I felt like Annie Liebowitz photographing an aging celebrity… I kept saying things like ‘can we get a softer focus for the next shot?’ and ‘maybe if we brought in some dancing bears or something? Anything to distract the eye…’ It’s billed as ‘mermaid meets pink princess meets wedding cake’ (the blue things are waves).
i am sooo jealous… it’s a dream of mine to be buried in presents… that, and the whole language thing… i’ve always wanted to speak every language too… she is already like, three and a half up on me…
oh, be sure to have iddy go to uranus today (tee hee) too… i’ve got some birthday wishes for her… (i put it on a timestamp so i wouldn’t forget… and with the whole time difference… i’m not even sure what time it will be up… but it should be early)
p.s.
i think the cake looks good (and yummy)… plus, just the fact that you have the shark practically eating flounder makes it awesome…
