You know you want to…

It’s not too late to grab a plane, train or automobile and head to Dresden for the 3rd annual Whiney Expat Blogger Meet-up. Get to know the characters behind the characters on the blogs… network… befriend… eat/drink/be merry. Having your own blog certainly isn’t mandatory for attendance. Maybe you’re just a fan of one or more of the bloggers, long for the familiar sound of english, want to practice your language skills & find out what a group of immigrants really think about your country, or are just doing it because I guilted you into it (heh). Everyone’s welcome, and Dresden certainly has a lot to offer.
If you’d like more details (we’re meeting friday night for dinner, saturday around noon for sightseeing followed by dinner, and sunday for brunch), just shoot an email to: b@eurotrippen.com and I’ll fill you in on the specifics. You can decide from there if you’d like meet up (all/part/none of the time) with us or not.
Honestly, I’m not even sure who all will be here… just the people who’ve mentioned in J’s thread they’ll attend. So if you’re coming and haven’t posted it yet, leave a comment here & let me know! And for those who are Dresden bound this weekend… I’m genuinely looking forward to meeting you. I can’t promise decent weather, but I will say it should be a nice, relaxing way to spend the weekend. And if we all strive to get Jim drunk enough, he just might show us the coolest stupid human trick evvvvur…

I’m almost packed! Now we just have to hope that Deutsche Bahn doesn’t do a number on those of us coming by train. I’m crossing my fingers.
Are they threatening another strike?? Sheesh!
Hey B!
I’d love to join you this weekend. Would you mail me the details, please? I’m so nervous already *g*
Hi Janine,
Hmmm, I sent you an email last friday night, but I’m guessing you never got it. I just sent it again… let me know if you don’t get this one either and I’ll try to get the information to you another way. Looking forward to meeting you!
And I’m nervous too… so we can be nervous together!
It’s official: They’re striking from Thursday 2 a.m. to Saturday 2 a.m. so who knows what’s happening. I don’t know how many bloggers were planning to travel on Thursday and Friday-
I’m curious enough to drop in at this point, but not well enough to do so. And what with the darn Bahn (that’s what “DB” really stands for) and their issues and our lack of mobility…I’ll have to wait until next year.
