Former supermodel turned brain surgeon leaves behind successful career in America to try her hand at hausfraudom in the lovely Saxon city of Dresden, Germany.
Some days are good, some are bad... all are opportunities to learn & grow.
With my sunny disposition and can-do attitude, what could possibly go wrong?

Oh my goodness, that looks terrible!
Thanks so much for posting that. Now I can show my wife her swollen ankles after our intercontinental flights really aren’t that bad.
Gute Besserung…und ein Frohes Neues Jahr!
That feels painful even looking at it from way over here. How did you do that?
Oh my, that looks so familiar to me. I’m a klutz as well. Lots of ice to reduce the swelling, gute besserung…ciao
Ouch, that’s gotta hurt! Soak your feet in warm water should bring the swelling down :). Psst, i’m a klutz myself, slammed my finger into the car door!
Wow! That’s definitely not good, B!
I managed to fall off my bedroom slippers (perfectly flat, mind you) quite a few years ago and ended up with an ankle looking almost exactly like yours, except mine was deep purple. I remember the sound of it cracking as I hit the floor. My dufus doctor said it was “only sprained” and never put me in a cast, so I hobbled around on crutches for 6 weeks. To this day that ankle still looks bigger than the other one. Grrrr.
Hope you’re up and doing much better very soon!
P.S. I’ve come to believe that when things like this happen, it’s the Cosmos telling you that–since you didn’t listen to gentler warnings to slow down–it has to go to extremes and knock you down for a while. Jus’ sayin’. . .
That had to hurt.
It wasn’t the evil car garage / elevator thing was it ?
Hope it gets better soon.
You and Kat should hang out. She’s all swollen too! She can do your walkin’ and you can do her talkin’!

I did it by trying to carry two big boxes full of paper & cardboard recycling down the stairs. I couldn’t see my feet, missed a step, and took a nasty tumble. I also managed to screw up my left wrist and come away with some nasty bruises… fun. See, recycling is evil. I blame Al Gore.
At least it’s been a good excuse for me to lay around in my favorite Rolling Stones sleepy pants and watch tv. A.T., you might be onto something with the whole cosmos/stop and smell the roses thing.
Anyway, I figure if it’s not better by Monday I’ll hobble down to the doctor’s office. And from now on… no walking & carrying.
Owie! That looks like some kind of sprain, wow….Hope you’re feeling better soon B
OUCH! I hope its better!
Is that a basketball in there, or are you just happy to see me? Hope you’re feeling better … yikes.
