It's sad. I spent so many years from the viewpoint of a "mother of daughters", and now that my son turned 15, I'm having to face it from a "mother of sons" viewpoint as well, which has caused me to really have to reflect on a lot of these issues. It is rough, for parents, and it's rough on the kids although they'll never admit it.
