LOL, I also wondered about the outfits. I once went to the International Office at HTW three days in a row, and the woman wore the same outfit each time! I also noticed the Russian girls in my class wear the same outfit most of the week. Do we Americans just like to waste water, energy, laundry soap? Or do we just smell worse? Wait, no, I know that's not true, because I've been on the Straßenbahn...

aha! I always wondered about the logic of wearing the same clothes multiple times, wrinkles and all, but I could never bring myself to ask. I figured the answer would probably start with 'you wasteful americans...' :)

I have a question... why do some Germans insist on wearing all black with shiny red shoes (women) or a nice dark grey suit, white shirt and neon (yes neon) green tie? Or is this trend just in Schwabenland?

#5 is to die for! It would tork me off to find dirty socks in the drawer. I do, however, wish I could wear the same clothes four days straight. LOL!

There’s much more than just this… these are just a few of the things that pop into my head.
Thanks, B.! If anything else pops in, please let us know. My inlaws have our trusty Frommer's Germany book at the moment (planning their own trip over two months out), so we're relying on personal recommendations in large part. Alas, no car available for this trip -- we're training it.
