		<description>State of Fear was one of the very few books I hated enough NOT to finish, and to spend the time to bitch about how bad it was online.  I used to read Crichton all the time when I was young, and it amazed me how bad I thought his writing was this go 'round.  Ugh.  The story itself seemed like it would be good, but damn, let someone else write it.

		<description>I saw Paranoid Park last November when I was in Brussels, &lt;a href="http://www.elmada.com/2007/11/paranoid_park.html" rel="nofollow"&gt;freshly arrived from Portland&lt;/a&gt;, of all places. It was a bit strange a month or two ago when I realized that I saw it before it was released in the States!  I'm glad to hear that you liked it as well--I've been wanting to see it again.
