Thanks for the tips, now I just need to get organized and put them to good use.

And it's a given I'll take tons of photos and post them on Flickr.

London - go to Hyde Park...it's always refreshing to be in the middle of it all, yet having it be so peaceful. Since you only have two days, may I suggest the hop-on-hop-off bus tours...they are cheesy and touristy, but they are an easy way to get around to the major sites.

Edinburgh - walk around the Haymarket...go to the castle...and if you want another cheesy, touristy thing then go to the Scotch Whiskey Experience (just outside Edinburgh Castle).

I visited Hadrian's Wall at a small town called "Once Brewed", in the middle of the UK. Just near there was an old excavated Roman town called Vindolanda. I thought it was pretty cool. It is one of the only sources of everyday Roman writing, because they found a large pile of letters in a ditch that had not decayed at all. The letters were from Roman soldiers requesting a new pair of socks, and that sort of thing. I'm sure there are other options, but that village was a highlight for me.

Like many awesome things, this military band exhibition (a bunch of amazing bagpipers marching around at night inside the castle) sounds kind of weird and lame but is unmissable if you're going to be in Edinburgh sometime in August. I loved it:

Blythes last blog post..<a href="http://theblythespirit.blogspot.com/2008/06/current-soundtrack.html" rel="nofollow">Current Soundtrack</a>

I have always wanted to see Hadrian's Wall ever since I did a big project and report on it in Grade 6! (embarrassed smiley)

Will you take a pic and post one for me? :-)
